Shared-office company Jay Suites signed a 23,000-square foot lease at L.H. Charney and Associates’ 1441 Broadway, expanding to three floors.
The company now occupies 69,000 square feet in the 573,000-square-foot, 33-story tower. MHP Real Estate Services’ Richard Dolittle brokered the deal.
Jay Suites, founded in 2009 by brothers Juda and Jack Srour, was New York’s third-largest shared-office company in The Real Deal’s June ranking behind WeWork and Regus. It now occupies seven locations and 250,000 square feet in Manhattan and is eyeing its first Brooklyn location.
Shared-office companies, led by $10 billion startup WeWork, have been proliferating across the big apple. To the south of 1441 Broadway, the area around Madison Square Park alone is home to 26 co-working spaces.
