Robert De Niro’s old West Village “mansion in the sky” is having a hard time finding any takers.
The 11,000-square-foot penthouse at 165 Perry Street, once briefly occupied by the two-time Academy Award winner, has seen its asking price chopped yet again to a mere $25.5 million.
The sprawling apartment was initially listed for $39.8 million last April but underwent its first, $10 million price cut only three months later, according to Curbed.
The five-bedroom, 4.5-bath penthouse has several landscaped terraces, a library featuring a wood-burning fireplace and a massive garage.
De Niro and wife Grace Hightower rented the property for two years after his Upper West Side home at 88 Central Park West was destroyed in a 2012 fire. [Curbed] – Rey Mashayekhi
