Time Warner Cable has opted not to renew its expiring 75,000-square-foot lease at Related Companies’ Time Warner Center.
Instead, the cable provider is set to relocate to Stamford, Connecticut, where its new parent company Charter Communications is headquartered, the New York Post reported.
JLL’s Peter Riguardi and Related’s Stephen Winter are marketing the space on the 16th and 17th floors – the Time Warner Center’s first office vacancy since 2003.
Time Warner Cable, once a part of media conglomerate Time Warner, was spun off as a separate company in 2009 and sold to Charter earlier this year. Time Warner, the former parent company, still leases space in its namesake center, but is set to move to Related’s 30 Hudson Yards in 2019. [NYP] – Konrad Putzier
