Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan are waving goodbye to their sprawling Connecticut estate. The couple is asking for $4.25 million.
Fox and Pollan built the 72-acre compound in Sharon in 1997. It features five bedrooms, a separate guesthouse, a pool, a pond and a fishing shack.
Fox, who suffers from Parkinson’s disease, calls the property “the best therapy possible,” according to the Daily Mail. Kathryn Clair of William Pitt/Sotheby’s International Realty has the listing.
“The word that comes to mind – not to sound pretentious – is honest,” Fox told Architectural Digest in 2000. “Though there are things in the house that are purely for the eye that please us – I have an affection for folk art, though not to excess – everything has a purpose. There’s no hyperbole, nothing that’s there for its own sake, which creates a flow that’s relaxing and easy.”
