Delta Airlines signed a sublease for 30,000 square feet at the Bulova Corporate Center in Queens’ East Elmhurst neighborhood.
The sublease begins in April 2017 and runs for three years, Commercial Observer reported. Delta will occupy the second floor of the 425,000 square-foot Class A office complex, located at 75-20 Astoria Boulevard.
Asking rents at the building, owned by Blumenfeld Development Group, are in the high-$30s per square foot, according to CoStar data.
According to the news website, Delta will replace health care provider Visiting Nurse Service of New York. Other tenants in the building include the New York City Department of Corrections, Tishman Construction [TRDataCustom], Tiffany & Co., and the Queens Chamber of Commerce.
Delta is planning to rebuild two terminals at LaGuardia Airport and is currently renegotiating the terms of its ground lease with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. [CO] — Miriam Hall
