An East Village apartment is back on the market for an eye-popping $25 million ($3,704 per square foot), possibly making it the neighborhood’s most expensive apartment ever.
The third-floor apartment at 210 East 5th Street is currently owned by Canadian photographer/filmmaker Gregory Colbert. Colbert previously listed the apartment in 2012 with the same price tag and a different broker, the New York Post reported. Douglas Elliman’s [TRDataCustom] Richard Steinberg and Matthew Slosar are handling the listing this time around.
The next most expensive apartment in the East Village is a six-bedroom townhouse at 114 East 10th Street for just under $8 million, according to StreetEasy.
Colbert’s apartment spans 6,750 square feet, has 32-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling exposed brick and 800 square feet of outdoor space. The building, known as Beethoven Hall, was formerly a concert space and now has four apartments. [NYP] — Kathryn Brenzel
