Marius Meland, who founded the legal news service Law360, is looking to unload his West Village townhouse for $12.5 million.
Meland and Eng Kian Ooi paid $11 million for 112 Washignton Place in 2014, property records show. The Federal-style home, which has six stories, spans 3,728 square feet and is asking $3,353 per square foot. Built in 1832, it is 21 feet wide and features a wood-burning fireplace, chef’s kitchen, private garden and roof terrace.

Pravda said the current owners love the house but want to renovate another home. “They want to start from scratch and build their dream home,” he said.
Meland, who founded Law360 in 2004, sold the site and parent company Portfolio Media to the research firm LexisNexis in 2012 for a reported $150 million.
112 Washington Place
In addition to 112 Washington, Meland and Ooi paid $3.45 million in 2012 for a Park Slope townhouse that appeared in 2005 film “The Squid and the Whale.” They still own the 3,600-square-foot house at 167 Sixth Avenue, property records show.
112 Washington has traded hands several times in the past five years. Prior to Meland, a corporation known as WP 112 LLC owned the property for just seven months, having paid $8.85 million in March 2014. Before that, Future Management Services, Inc., shelled out $7.25 million in 2009 for the house, which it leased out for several years.
