Tommy Hilfiger is shedding last season’s headquarters for a new one in Midtown South.
The company inked a lease for 200,000 square feet at RFR Realty’s [TRDataCustom] 285 Madison Avenue, the New York Post reported
A JLL team led by Matthew Astrachan represented both Tommy Hilfiger as a tenant and RFR.
The Real Deal first reported in December that Hilfiger — a fixture at Aby Rosen’s annual exclusive art show party — was close to finalizing a deal for space at the building. Rosen and partners purchased the prewar building in 2012 for $190 million. In September, Rosen bought a majority interest in the building from his partners — GreenOak Real Estate, East End Capital and Downtown Properties — for $334.1 million. The deal valued the property at near $400 million. [NYP] — Kathryn Brenzel
