Duty Free heiress and fashion designer Alexandra von Furstenberg just picked up a sweet new oceanfront estate.
Born Alexandra Miller, Von Furstenberg married Prince Alexander von Furstenberg, the son of fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg and Prince Egor von Furstenberg in 1995. Moreover, she is the daughter of American-born British multi-billionaire Robert Warren Miller, who built the Duty Free airport shop empire. So, needless to say, she is minted — despite divorcing Alexander von Furstenberg in 2002.
That might help explain why an entity controlled by Von Furstenberg just dropped $16 million on a one-acre property in the celebrity haunt of Point Dume in Malibu, Yolanda’s Little Black Book reports.
Von Furstenberg’s new home sits on an oceanfront bluff on one of the area’s best streets. It’s a surprisingly rustic affair, with a dirt drive, a wooden gate and a modestly sized residence.
The 2,273-square-foot house has three bedrooms — two of which are matching master suites. Honestly, with such a high pricetag for such an unremarkable setup, it seems likely that a much grander home may soon rise on the property.
