Casey Affleck, Joaquin Phoenix list Soho duplex for $3.9M
Building has attracted several stars over the years
A Soho duplex co-op owned by buddies and beard enthusiasts Casey Affleck and Joaquin Phoenix hit the market for $3.9 million.
The Oscar winner and his future ex-brother-in-law are selling their seventh-floor unit at 477 Washington Street, also known as 533 Canal Street, the New York Post reported. The building is also home to Kirsten Dunst, who is trying to sell her penthouse for $5 million. It was also previously home to director Gus Van Sant and former REM lead singer Michael Stipe.
Douglas Elliman’s Katherine Gauthier and Wilfredo Rivera are handling the listing for Affleck and Phoenix.
Affleck, who is divorcing Phoenix’s sister Summer after nearly 10 years of marriage, won the Oscar for best actor for “Manchester by the Sea” last month. Phoenix has been nominated for several Academy Awards. Amid the award win, Affleck faced allegations that he sexually harassed a woman on the set of Phoenix’s mockumentary “I’m Still Here,” following a lawsuit that was settled. [NYP] — Kathryn Brenzel
