From TRD Los Angeles: Former NBA player Carlos Boozer just listed his Pinecrest home for $3.2 million.
Boozer, who last played for China’s Guangdong Southern Tigers team and before that for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Utah Jazz, Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers, bought the home in 2010 for $1.8 million, records show.
Now he’s looking to sell the 1-acre property at 7450 Southwest 100th Street, listing agent Katrina Campins told The Real Deal. Campins, of the Katrina Campins Group at Trump International Realty, said the newly married pro basketball player had the 7,250-square-foot house professionally decorated with smart home features. He also built a new kitchen and installed a fire pit on the property.
She declined to comment on whether he’s looking to stay in South Florida, but said he spends a lot of time at his seven-bedroom Pinecrest home. It was built in 2011 by Richard Suarez, a homebuilder, and features marble granite countertops, a summer kitchen, guest house, media room, pool, and, of course, a basketball court, according to the listing.
“I think it’s the perfect home for someone who just wants to bring their toothbrush. It’s brand new, really private,” Campins said, adding that it is “priced according to the market.”
A number of NBA players are looking to sell their Pinecrest houses. Former Miami Heat center Chris “Birdman” Andersen, ex-Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom and former Miami Heat guard Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway all recently listed their homes in Pinecrest.
Boozer, a two-time NBA All Star player, won an Olympic bronze medal and an Olympic gold medal in the 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics. Campins, who rose to fame on the first season of NBC’s “The Apprentice,” said she represents Boozer on all of his real estate deals.
