From LLNYC: Rosie O’Donnell, the comedian and chief antagonizer of Donald Trump, has just shelled out $8 million for a triplex penthouse at 255 East 49th Street, as 6sqft first reported. Here’s hoping it inspires another poem.

Though we can’t say definitively, from the listing photos, it does not appear that the place provides any view of Trump Tower (which is about a 20 minute walk away). It does offer spectacular views of the rest of the city, courtesy of the 1,620-square-foot Private Rooftop Terrace, which has an integrated sound and lighting system.

According to the listing, with Charlotte van Doren and Harrison Rose of Stribling, the 3,600-square-foot penthouse has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a granite fireplace, wide oak floors, a 70-bottle wine refrigerator (which we’re sure will come in handy the next time the President decides to tweet about Rosie), a “sculptural Guggenheim-inspired staircase” and a Swedish sauna.

The sellers, Karl Wall, the chairman and CEO of Aylesbury Insurance and Elaine Moleski of the Level Group, paid $4.3 million for it in 2013. [6sqft]
