From LLNYC: Musician and producer Brian Burton (a.k.a. Danger Mouse) has just listed his duplex garden apartment at 222 East 17th Street for $1.7 million, per StreetEasy records.

As Danger Mouse, Burton became famous for his so-called “Grey Album” where he mashed together the vocals from Jay Z’s “Black Album” with the Beatles’ “White Album.” He co-founded the band “Gnarls Barkley” along with CeeLo Green, and “Broken Bells” together with “The Shins.” He has won six Grammy awards, including Record of the Year in 2013 for his album “Lonely Boy.”

Burton bought this apartment in 2014 for $1.4 million dollars, according to city records. He also listed it last year with Halstead property for $1.8 million, though no one caught it. This new listing, with Stephen Ferrara and Clayton Orrigo of Compass, notes that the apartment has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, fireplaces throughout and an “industrial-chic” living room (where we spot one of Burton’s guitars). Ferrara declined to comment for this piece.

The best part of the unit, though, is its access to the building’s private garden, where the new owner can enjoy a lovely view of St. George’s Church.
