Match made in indie-film heaven: Alexander Skarsgärd buys Parker Posey’s old co-op

From LLNYC: It’s no “Big Little Lie” that Swedish actor Alexander Skarsgärd just paid $2.3 million for an East Village co-op at 119 East 10th Street.

The “Big Little Lies” and “True Blood” star paid $300,000 over the asking price for the unit, according to city records first spotted by Mansion Global.

According to the listing, with Lois Planco and Amy Mendizabal of Compass, the apartment has one bedroom (though it can easily be converted into two), one bathroom, beamed ceilings, a wood burning fireplace and a roof that can be turned into a private terrace. The listing also notes that the apartment cannot be used as a pied-a-terre, so we guess Skarsgärd is going to be spending a lot of time in it.

The unit used to belong to “Queen of the Indies” Parker Posey, who sold it in 2008 for $1.3 million. She also recently sold her other apartment at 30 Fifth Avenue in July 2016 for $1.45 million.

Chloe Sevigny also used to live in the building, in a garden-floor apartment she sold in 2013.  [MG]
