UPDATED, 3:18 p.m. September 18 Brooklyn Heights is back on top of the Brooklyn housing market after briefly ceding the spotlight to Park Slope in July.
The famed neighborhood occupied the top two spots in August for the priciest home sales in Brooklyn with a $10.2 million sale at Pierhouse at Brooklyn Bridge Park and an $8.4 million sale at 31 Garden Place, according to data provided by PropertyShark. Dumbo had two properties in the top five as well, while Park Slope had one.
No particular neighborhood dominated the list in Queens, with homes in different parts of the borough occupying each of the top five spots. The No. 1 sale went to a beachfront property in Far Rockaway, which sold for $2.9 million, while properties in Elmhurst, Astoria, Long Island City and Forest Hills rounded out the Queens list with one property apiece.
