Pop star and actress Jennifer Lopez has listed her duplex penthouse in the Whitman, a condo building at 21 East 26th Street, for $26.95 million, according to the New York Times. Monthly carrying costs are $20,580, and the Modlin Group‘s Adam Modlin is handling the sale.
The Whitman contains just four units, and Lopez bought hers in 2014 through an LLC for $20.16 million. It spans more than 6,540 square feet on the fifth and sixth floors of the building and contains four bedrooms and six bathrooms.
The Whitman overlooks Madison Square Park and was built in 1924 as a showroom for textile company Clarence B. Whitman and Sons. Developer Mitchell Holdings converted it into condos in 2013. Chelsea Clinton, NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon and hedge fund manager John Silvetz have also purchased units in the building. [NYT] – Eddie Small
