From 1999 to 2003, the late actor James Gandolfini, known for his role as Tony Soprano on “The Sopranos,” called 99 Jane Street in the West Village home. Now his four-bedroom loft will finally hit the market, asking $7.5 million, four years after his death.
Gandolfini and his then-wife, Marcy Wudarski Gandolfini, purchased a unit in the building in 1999 for $850,000. They later added a second unit for over $1 million, according to the New York Post. But after their divorce, the apartment went to Marcy, who is now selling the apartment.
Julie Rupprecht, the Corcoran Group broker who sold the couple both units, is now listing them once again. It had been on the rental market asking $21,000 a month.
The 3,300-square-foot loft boasts 12-foot ceilings and lots of light, according to the listing.
“This is where Jim raised his son,” Rupprecht told the Post. “He was a wonderful, kind person who took the time for everyone.” [NYP] –Christopher Cameron
