Kristen Stewart, the 27-year-old star of the “The Twilight Saga,” is putting down roots in Manhattan. She’s pursuing more indie roles of late – like “Still Alice” and “Personal Shopper” — and what better base camp for cool kid cred than a Downtown loft?

Stewart just paid a little over $5.6 million for a loft at 1 Bond Street in Noho, according to Variety. The 3,000-square-foot apartment is positioned on a lower floor of a restored mid-19th century cast-iron building. It’s a bit of a fixer upper that is currently split into two wings. On one end, there are three bedrooms clustered around an open lounge, a bathroom and a laundry. On the other wing is a massive 60-foot-long room, with a nonworking fireplace, a second bathroom, and a kitchen.

Stewart is currently a spokesperson and model for Chanel and Balenciaga and owns at least three other properties in the Los Angeles area. [Variety] – Christopher Cameron
