Developer F.D. Rich sells Stamford apartment building for $24.5M
Bedford Hall, an 82-unit apartment building in downtown Stamford, sold for $24.5 million. Bridgeport-based Navarino Acquisitions bought the six-story building from developer F.D. Rich Co., which opened the property in 2016. Bedford Hall, at 545 Bedford Street, has a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments with rents starting at $1,900 per month, the Stamford Advocate reported. New White Plains campus for French-American School approved
After nearly seven years of debate, the White Plains Common Council approved the French-American School of New York’s plans to build a new campus. Five of seven council members voted in favor of the school’s revised plan for a 640-student school for grades 6-12 on the site of the former Ridgeway Country Club. Some residents and local groups contend that the campus is too large for the neighborhood, will snarl traffic and is environmentally dangerous. FASNY purchased the 129-acre property in 2011 and had originally planned to host 950 students there but revised the plan in response to forceful opposition to the proposal. [Lohud]

Peter Marra to run Halstead’s Connecticut division
Brown Harris Stevens’ Peter Marra has joined Halstead as the managing director for Connecticut and will oversee the firm’s growing operations in Fairfield County. “In this world, the opportunity for expansion is always exciting,” he said. Marra — who was president and part-owner of the family-owned residential firm William B. May until 2004 — most recently led BHS’ Carnegie Hill office. [TRD]

Bridgeport OKs baseball stadium to amphitheater transformation
The Bridgeport City Council voted in favor of a plan turning the city’s minor league outdoor ballpark into a concert venue. Local developer Howard Saffan and entertainment company Live Nation say they will bring a minimum of 20 major acts to the renovated venue beginning in 2019 after installing an “iconic tensile roof” that will protect the space from rain. The developer and the city will split the estimated $15 million renovation cost to the city-owned venue. The Bridgeport Bluefish had called the 5,000-seat Harbor Yard ballpark home since 1998 but are moving to North Carolina. [CT Post]

Long-planned Bronxville luxury condo development opens
Plans to build luxury housing on the Kensington Road site once occupied by the Lawrence Park Heat, Light and Power company, have been around since the mid-2000s, but for decades the site lay vacant. Now, however, a 53-unit luxury condominium building is open. VillaBXV was developed by Greenwich-based Fareri Associates, which took over the 1.6 acre property in 2014. The Mediterranean-style building features condos ranging from 1,300 square feet to more than 2,000 square feet, priced from $1.3 million to $3.8 million.
