A six-story Upper East Side mansion, once home to Marc Chagall and Michael Jackson, is still on the market, after actress Nicole Kidman denied that her husband, Keith Urban, was the buyer.
Urban had reportedly considered buying the $39 million Beaux Arts townhouse at 4 East 74th Street, for the co-star of HBO’s “Big Little Lies,” but the property is still available, according to the New York Post.
Current owner Marc Lasry, chairman of Avenue Capital Group and co-owner of the Milwaukee Bucks, listed the 25-foot-wide home earlier this month for $39 million. In 2001, Lasry paid $11 million for the property, which was built in 1898, measures 12,745 square feet and has 10 wood burning fireplaces, a garden-level patio and private roof deck.
The property is being sold by Adam Modlin and Nina Perez of the Modlin Group.
Sources on Thursday said that no deal for the property had been made. [NYP] — Chava Gourarie
