HFZ Capital Group’s chief operating officer Laurie Golub is leaving the company after five years to become COO of Square Mile Capital.
In June, Square Mile appointed co-founder Craig Solomon as its new CEO. The firm is an significant commercial real estate lender in New York and is in talks to finance Essex Crossing’s office component with a $250 million construction loan, and recently provided the developers of one of Williamsburg’s tallest towers $150 million.
Golub joined HFZ in 2012 from Africa Israel USA and previously worked for Forest City Ratner Companies (now Forest City New York).
