Comedian bought 239 Waverly Avenue home for $370K in 1994

Chris Rock, who struck a $40 million deal for two upcoming Netflix specials, has sold his carriage house in Clinton Hill for a fraction of that.

The famed comedian bought the property at 239 Waverly Avenue for $370,000 in 1994 and had listed it in May for $3.85 million, according to 6sqft. It was also put up for rent in 2013 for as much as $15,000 per month. The property is now sold for $3.35 million.

The home is located above a private garage and includes a 23-foot suite with skylights. It has room for two or three bedrooms. Other amenities include central air conditioning, a roof terrace, and a built-in barbecue.

The home was originally designed for the horses of the coopers Lowell and Henry Palmer who lived nearby on Clinton Avenue. [6sqft]Eddie Small
