Anthony Scaramucci, the former White House communications director who informally goes by “The Mooch,” is looking to sell his Hamptons home less than nine months after buying it.

Scaramucci spent $8.2 million on the 8,300-square-foot home in Water Mill. But that was then, this is now. Scaramucci wants to get something closer to the water, possibly in Bridgehampton, the New York Post reported.

Hamptons developer Joe Farrell built the home, and it will now be listed on the Farrell Building Co. website. It should hit the market for roughly $9 million.

Scaramucci paid the full asking price of about $7.5 million for the house, but the price came to $8.2 million after he requested add-ons including a home-movie theater and a pool house.

Scaramucci, whose brief tenure as White House communication director ended shortly after he delivered a profane tirade to The New Yorker magazine, had purchased the Hamptons home with his wife Deidre Ball. She had filed for divorce from Scaramucci in July but withdrew the papers in November. [NYP]  – Eddie Small
