State awards $7M to Amagansett affordable housing project

The state awarded $7 million to a seven building affordable housing complex in Amagansett. Combined with federal money, the project now has $19 million. Once complete, the complex will feature 37 units with one bedrooms going for $1,527, two-bedrooms for $1,878, three-bedrooms for $2,428 and $2,999 for a four-bedroom. “We have the resources to move forward, and when the state makes an award, we have to get it done in two years,” said Catherine Casey of the East Hampton Housing Authority. [27East]
