From TRD Chicago: Oprah Winfrey buying your house is pretty much a dream come true for a sentimental seller.

“She will be a good caretaker,” said Kathleen Dickinson McDowell, the former owner of the 43-acre waterfront estate Winfrey purchased, to the Puget Sound Business Journal. “That is what I was most concerned about. But Oprah knows how to take care of a place like this. She has many wonderful homes.”

McDowell had lived in the home, known as Madroneagle, on Washington’s Orcas Island for 10 years.

TMZ claimed Winfrey bought the property for about $8.3 million site unseen. She reportedly plans to spend a few weeks of the year at the Washington estate and was scouting the area for a property for several years. According to McDowell, Winfrey’s former trainer Bob Greene reportedly did the legwork. Watch Sotheby’s fly-through video of Winfrey’s new pad:
