Brooklyn’s luxury market notched $44M in contracts signed last week

That’s an increase from $31M the week prior

There were 15 contracts signed in the Brooklyn luxury market last week, split between nine townhouses and six condos.

The properties sold for about $43.7 million overall and went for an average price of roughly $2.9 million, according to the latest report from Stribling & Associates. The firm defines the borough’s luxury market as all homes priced at $2 million or higher.

That’s up from the week before, when just 11 contracts were signed for about $31 million. Of those, 10 were for townhomes.

The most expensive deal last week was for a condo at 1 Main Street in Dumbo, which went for $3.99 million. The two-bedroom unit is in the neighborhood’s famed Clock Tower Building and spans about 2,005 square feet.

The second most expensive deal was for a house at 151 President Street in Carroll Gardens, which went for $3.5 million. The four-story house contains three bedrooms, and amenities include a private backyard, private parking and a finished cellar.

Other major deals last week included a house at 390 Bergen Street in Park Slope that sold for $3.4 million and a condo at 550 Vanderbilt Avenue in Prospect Heights that sold for about $2.6 million. – Eddie Small
