The retail space, which has frontage on East 18th Street, had an asking rent of $220 a square foot. CBRE represented the tenant and landlord in the deal.

The nine-story building near Union Square was bought in 2011 by father-and-son-developers Bijan and Danny Nassi of BDN NY Management for $20 million. The company had plans to convert the building into residential condominiums.
