There were 13 contracts signed in Brooklyn’s luxury market last week for a total of about $36.8 million.
The properties were split between six condos, five townhouses and two co-ops, and they went for an average price of about $2.6 million, according to the latest report from Stribling & Associates. The firm defines the borough’s luxury market as all homes priced at $2 million or higher.
Both numbers were down from the week before, when the market saw 14 contracts signed for about $44 million overall.
The most expensive deal last week was for a townhouse at 593 2nd Street in Park Slope, which went for $4.5 million. The five-bedroom home was designed by famed 19th century architect Axel Hedman and includes a garden and brick patio.
The second most expensive deal was also for a townhouse in Park Slope at 597 6th Street, which sold for $4.25 million. The two-family, six-bedroom home includes a garden rental apartment and an owner’s triplex.
Other deals last week included a condo at 347 Henry Street in Cobble Hill for $3.7 million and a co-op at 104 Pierrepont Street in Brooklyn Heights for about $3.5 million. – Eddie Small
