Cathy Franklin’s coronation as Corcoran’s top agent for the second year in a row came in front of a packed house at Cipriani 42nd Street.
The veteran agent’s sales volume last year totaled $465 million, according to the brokerage, including a $30 million deal at 109 East 79th Street.
“I’m a little nerdy and geeky,” said Franklin on her market-oriented approach to sales, adding that she moved “a ton of people back to New York” last year.
Franklin was among a dozen agents and teams recognized at Corcoran’s annual awards ceremony, presented by CEO Pam Liebman.
Deborah Kern scored the Corcoran Deal of the Year Award, which recognizes the firm’s most expensive sale, for representing a buyer at 220 Central Park South. She sold the 45th floor at the world’s most profitable condominium for more than $80 million.
The Deborah Grubman Team claimed the top New York City co-op deal for representing Rupert Murdoch during his purchase of the 27th floor of 150 Central Park South for $35.2 million. The Leighton Candler Team won top townhouse honors for a $41 million townhouse sale at 110 East 76th Street.
But both deals were eclipsed by transactions in the Hamptons, where two Corcoran teams tied for East End Deal of the Year with a pair of $52 million sales. Honors went to the Juracich Team and Eileen O’Neill.
The firm’s top Florida sale award went to Dana Koch and Suzanne Frisbie for 854 South County Road in Palm Beach, which sold for $63.4 million.
Agent Charlie Pigott was named the firm’s top salesperson in Brooklyn, where the Cornell Marshall Hovsepian Team was the top sales team, and the Rieders Team was recognized as the top overall performer.
In Manhattan, Kern was the top salesperson and the Gold Team led by Steve Gold was the top team.
Susan Breitenbach was Corcoran’s top Hamptons salesperson and Mala Sander’s unit won top team for the area.
Correction: An earlier version of this story misstated Cathy Franklin’s sales volume.
