Life Time’s latest addition to its New York City outposts led the list of largest retail leases inked in the Big Apple last month. The list includes three new restaurant locations alongside some of the sector’s mainstays, such as clothing retailers. Read on to see the biggest deals signed in April.
1) Life Time | 83 Wythe Avenue | Williamsburg | 71,000 sf
The gym inked a new lease in the Williamsburg building, taking over the retail portion of the new development. The building’s owner is Double U Development.
2) Bar des Prés | 345 Park Avenue | Plaza District | 22,000 sf
Curil Lignac, famed French chef, inked a lease for a new restaurant concept in the Plaza District building. John DiGangi and Manu Wendum of Retail by MONA represented the tenant, while Steven Soutendijk of Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord, Rudin.
3) Aritzia | 10 Columbus Circle | Upper West Side | 16,000 sf
The Canadian clothing brand signed a new lease in the Upper West Side building known as The Shops at Columbus Circle. Ariel Schuster and Jason Wecker of Newmark represented the tenant. The building’s landlord is Related Companies.
4) Urban Outfitters | 575 Fifth Avenue | Grand Central | 15,300 sf
The clothing retailer signed a new 12-year lease in the Grand Central building, relocating their current location at 521 Fifth Avenue. Tim Duffy of McDevitt Company represented the tenant, while a 4-member Cushman & Wakefield team including Sean Moran and Patrick O’Rourke represented the landlords, Beacon Capital Partners and MetLife.
5) Avocado Green Mattress | 942 Third Avenue | Plaza District | 12,000 sf
The mattress company inked a new lease in the Plaza District building. Alex Yanoff of Brand Urban represented the tenant alongside Tess Jacoby of Rue, while Brandon L. Singer, Sunny Woo and Jason Lloyd of Retail by MONA represented the landlords, Naomi Altholz and Andre Altholz.
6) Lady Delilah | 351 West 14th Street | Chelsea | 10,000 sf
The supper club inked a new 15-year lease in the Chelsea building. Jason Greenston of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant alongside Matthew Seigel of Lantern Company, while Chris Decrosta of GoodSpace represented the landlord, Tavros Holdings.
7) Strain Stars | 218-25 Hempstead Avenue | Queens Village | 5,800 sf
The dispensary signed a new 20-year lease in the Queens Village building. Louis Peter Cotrone of X Real Estate Group represented the tenant, while Joshua Kleinberg and Samuel Essery of Colliers represented the landlord, Karan Zoria.
8) Olio e Più | 106 Third Avenue | East Village | 5,000 sf
The Italian restaurant inked a lease for a new location in the East Village building. Both the tenant and the landlord, Solil Management, were represented by Jarrett Sharp of Murro Realty.
9) Quantum Physical Therapy & Chiropractic Care | 589 Christopher Avenue | Brownsville | 4,200 sf
The medical center chain inked a new 15-year lease in the Brownsville building. Thomas Galo and Matt Knispel of RTL represented both the tenant and the landlord, Procida Companies.
10) Pandora | 3 Times Square | Times Square | 4,100 sf
The jewelry brand inked a new lease in the Times Square building. Davie Berke of CBRE represented the tenant, while Darrell Rubens of Newmark represented the landlord, Rudin.
