Long Islanders got their first full weekend of phase 2 of the statewide coronavirus reopening and many made the most of it, according to Newsday.
Restaurants opened for outdoor dining, allowing people to have a meal and a drink out for the first time since mid-March. Phase 2 also allows for barbershops, in-store retail, and real estate showings to resume, but with restrictions. Retail stores must be kept below 50 percent capacity, for example, and tables at restaurants must be kept at least six feet apart.
Like everywhere else, face coverings are mandatory except while seated for dining. [Newsday] — Dennis Lynch
