Bernard Uechtritz

Founder, Icon Global

Uechtritz’s first major home sale was a splashy one: the Menendez family’s infamous Calabasas estate, which had been languishing on the market for five years.

He has since made a name for himself selling large Texas ranches. Uechtritz grew up in Queensland, Australia, and began his career managing a palm oil and coconut plantation in Papua New Guinea.

He cemented his reputation as a ranch expert when he sold the W.T. Waggoner Ranch in Texas for $725 million in 2016, marking the largest ranch sale by price and acreage in U.S. history. The historic ranch spans more than 500,000 acres and is the second-largest ranch in Texas. His innovative marketing strategy, built around his “call for offers” campaign, attracted global attention and resulted in a competitive bidding process, ultimately resulting in a sale to billionaire Stan Kroenke.

Significant sales brokered by Icon Global include Terry Bradshaw’s $22.5 million, 800-acre ranch in Oklahoma, the 5,200-acre South Creek Ranch in Ferris (soon to become a mixed-use development with data centers), and the Two Rivers Ranch in Bosque County, Texas, a historic property that was bought by Bobby Patton.
