Deborah Kern

Broker

In a city defined by its trophy properties, Kern showcases quite the mantle.

The longtime Corcoran broker made the jump to the firm’s new development division, Corcoran Sunshine, in 2015, only to take over arguably the most successful condo project in the country: Vornado’s 220 Central Park South

Kern took on the role of gatekeeper at the project, and her style — British, refined, discreet — was the perfect fit.

She went on to attach her name to some of the biggest deals in the city, including selling the penthouse for $238 million to Ken Griffin, the most expensive home ever sold. She’s continued to plumb her relationships with the condo project, selling media mogul Byron Allen’s condo last year for $83 million.

A decade into her tenure on the development side of Corcoran, Kern seems to still have the magic touch. She’s taken over sales with Steve Gold at One High Line, where the pair have sold over $1 billion in condos.
