Jay Luchs
Retail Broker. Newmark
Luchs has made a name for himself by closing luxury leases and sales. In 2025 he brokered a $400 million deal for a property on Rodeo Drive that’s leased to Tom Ford, Moncler and Balenciaga. In 2021 he represented LVMH in its $200 million purchase of the Luxe Hotel on Rodeo Drive — and in 2020, he brokered the sale of 457 to 459 North Rodeo Drive to the Reuben Brothers for $122 million, which house the flagship stores of Alexander McQueen and Brioni. He continues to make deals even as Los Angeles’ retail market continues to show signs of strain.
Luchs is the grandson of the founder of real estate company Shannon & Luchs, which his father later ran, then sold in the 1990s. He made an appearance in Burlesque, a movie starring Cher and Christina Aguilera, after leaving the entertainment business (where he was cast in “Batman & Robin”) for real estate, and co-owns a loungewear shop called California Incline at the Cross Creek Ranch center in Malibu. He was at CBRE for a decade prior to Newmark.
