Michael Nourmand is leading the brokerage his father started, Nourmand & Associates, into its 50th year in 2026. He does so in a business landscape that’s competitive and always changing with technology, agent demands and market swings. 

So far, he’s managed to shuttle the business through market ups and downs, regulatory changes and other headwinds. Nourmand’s father, Saeed Nourmand, started the brokerage in 1976 with five agents. When Michael began running the business in 2008, two years after obtaining his broker’s license, he scaled the business to another level. He currently oversees more than 175 agents across offices in Beverly Hills, Brentwood and Hollywood. 

The brokerage closed 2025 nearing the 200-agent mark and $1 billion mark in sales in sight. All the while, Nourmand & Associates agents nabbed several wins in 2025. That includes Myra Nourmand (Michael’s mother) and Levi Freeman listing Tom Petty’s Malibu estate, which sold for $11.2 million in October. The brokerage’s Rochelle Maize holds a $70 million listing at 3099 Mandeville Canyon Road, named Robert Taylor Ranch for its former owner and the largest property (nearly four acres) on the market within the city of Los Angeles.
