Managing Broker, Co-Founder, Carolwood Estates

You might call Nick Segal the brokerage whisperer. He’s skilled at scaling brokerages and then sometimes selling them. With that track record, it’s enough to wonder if such a play may be in the cards at his current firm in Carolwood Estates, the fast-growing Beverly Hills boutique he co-founded with Drew Fenton and Ed Leyson in late 2022. Time will tell. 

Segal served as DBL Realtors partner between 1989 to 2009, during which time the firm was sold to Sotheby’s International Realty in 2004. Then there was Partners Trust Real Estate, which he launched in 2009, and sold to Pacific Union in 2017. He stayed with the firm until 2020, serving as Southern California president at Pacific Union post-sale and then moving on to Southern California managing director at Avenue 8. Now, it’s Carolwood where he is co-founder and managing broker, starting the firm with CEO Drew Fenton and Chief Marketing Director Ed Leyson. The trio have built Los Angeles County’s fastest-growing boutique, specializing in the local high-end market and landing some of the industry’s biggest sales talent along the way. 

His track record at previous firms could come in handy as Carolwood continues to keep its foot on the gas. Segal also sells homes as the founding member of Carolwood’s The Advisory team and counts over $1.3 billion in career volume.
