Founder, Chairman

Founder, Chairman, Kroenke Group

The billionaire and real estate mogul is the largest private landowner in the country.

He owns more than 2.7 million acres of ranches across North America and founded the Kroenke Group. He recently announced a $10 billion plan for a 52-acre development in Woodland Hills’ Warner Center neighborhood, in the San Fernando Valley. The Kroenke Organization acquired the nearly 100-acres for the project in 2022. The development, called Rams Village at Warner Center, will include the permanent headquarters and training facility for the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams, which Kroenke owns.

The Rams are only one part of Kroenke’s sports empire, which spans five professional leagues and two continents. He also owns the NBA’s Denver Nuggets, the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche, the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer, and the Arsenal Football Club of the English Premier League.

Beyond the Rams headquarters in Woodland Hills, the proposed mixed-use neighborhood, designed by Gensler, will include residential, retail, office space, hotel, indoor entertainment venues and parks and open space. More than three million square feet of the development will be residential — and nearly two million square feet will be commercial space. Kroenke was named Los Angeles Business Journal’s Business Person of the Year for 2020. He is married to Ann Walton, daughter of Bud Walton, who helped his brother, Sam, build Walmart into a retail giant.
