A modern mansion in Los Altos hit the market with an asking price of $24.5 million — in cash or crypto.

Known as the Mora House, the home is at 10718 Mora Drive, on the edge of the 4,000-acre Rancho San Antonio County Park and Open Space Preserve, Mansion Global reported.

The 8,870-square-foot wood, glass and concrete home, designed by San Francisco-based Swatt Miers Architects, sits on more than an acre of land and is being sold with an adjacent 1.44 acres of buildable space.

The property was developed by former fire chief Melvin Vaughn, who has owned the land since 2006. Despite a foreclosure in 2020, Vaughn was able to hold onto the property when a limited liability company he is associated with repurchased the property for $12.5 million in September.

The home is located at the end of a private road, past a small vineyard and has expansive outdoor decks that showcase the surrounding vista. In addition to the 8,870-square-foot main house, the property also includes a 800-square-foot guest house.

The six-bedroom, eight-bathroom home has 24-foot ceilings, a glass fireplace and retractable walls of glass that lead outside. In addition, the home is wired for Savant smart home automation and has solar panels and an elevator.

Other features include Gaggenau appliances, a home theater, a 1,500-bottle wine cellar, a fitness studio, a putting green and a four-car garage.

The home has two primary bedroom suites, each with access to their own outdoor spaces. The home is surrounded by several terraces and has a zero-edge infinity pool and spa. The guest house also has its own private pool.

Since the home is located in Silicon Valley, the sellers will accept cryptocurrency offers as well as cash.
