Amazon Key brings SF multifamily leaders to the table at exclusive Silicon Valley dinner

In September, the second in the Amazon Key Private Access Dinner Series brought together multifamily leaders to discuss the Bay Area’s future.

The event at the Rosewood Sand Hill in Silicon Valley sparked deep conversations between real estate and tech leaders. Attendees enjoyed an experience with beautiful birds of prey and exchanged ideas over a private dinner at the iconic Madera restaurant.

The exclusive guest list included Veritas Founder Yat Pang-Au, Avalon Bay Senior VP of Asset Management Jackie Todesco, Tidewater Capital Director of Development Kyle Winkler, oWow CEO Danny Haber and Presidio Bay Founder Cyrus Sanandaji, as well as TRD Editor in Chief Stuart Elliott and Amazon Key Director Kaushik Mani.

Elliott kicked off the evening by describing San Francisco as a city where real estate trends are often ahead of the national curve. He then introduced Wilson Meany Partner Chris Meany, whose firm is spearheading a decades-long redevelopment of Treasure and Yerba Buena Islands in the middle of San Francisco Bay.

Meany gave a frank evaluation of the state of SF real estate, highlighting the tremendous energy behind its revitalization as well as the many challenges facing the city.

As dinner was served, the leaders discussed the steps they would like to see the local government take to make the Bay Area more business-friendly. They also talked about integrating tech like Amazon Key into their developments, which has helped bring down costs, created new efficiencies and built community among residents. Diners concluded that smart access solutions are no longer merely a luxury amenity; they’re critical for any community.

Attendees finished their coffee and conversation late in the evening and bid their farewells with a renewed sense of enthusiasm about the SF multifamily space.
