25 years ago, Life magazine commissioned famed architect John Rattenbury, who had been a protege of Frank Lloyd Wright, to design the “American Dream Home” for its readers.
Rattenbury considered Wright “like a father” and learned from him that enduring design responds to what people need – warmth, respite, ease and a sense of nature near by, and he poured those thoughts into his design for the American Dream Home.
