Isaac Kassirer Q&A

What is Isaac Kassirer known for?
Kassirer is known for a large number of acquisitions across New York City through his company, the Emerald Equity Group. Between 2016 and 2019 Kassirer acquired more than 3,500 apartments. The acquisitions were mostly made in Upper Manhattan and the Bronx and include a large proportion of rent-stabilized apartments.
Why is Isaac Kassirer important to the real estate industry?
Kassirer has been the driving force behind his firm's growth since 2012, and Emerald's growth into previously untapped uptown markets has influenced New York's residential real estate. Emerald Equity made large-scale multifamily acquisitions in areas above 96th Street and in the Bronx and Brooklyn, where prices had not yet reached the sky-high downtown levels. Kassirer's group reportedly owns and operates rental units not only in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx, but in Atlanta, St. Louis, Columbus, Dallas, and Nashville as well.
