North Dallas Bank and Trust is making its mark on a massive development in Frisco.

The bank purchased about 4 acres in the Fields, a $10 billion, 2,500-acre mixed-use project slated for multimillion dollar homes, multifamily towers, offices, retail and industrial facilities, the Dallas Morning News reported

The site is west of the Dallas North Tollway and near a number of other high-profile developments. The Fields, which stretches from Preston Road on the east to U.S. Highway 380, is being developed by Hunt Realty and Karahan Companies. The firms acquired the land in 2018 from the estate of Bert Fields, who died in 2015 and was the main shareholder in North Dallas Bank and Trust.

“They will build a nice building to accommodate a branch plus additional office space,” Karahan CEO Fehmi Karahan told the outlet. “They will also create a park on a portion of their property and honor their founder, Bert Fields, and appropriately name it Fields Legacy.”

The acquisition puts North Dallas Bank “at the heart of the most dynamic multi-use urban community developed in the North Texas market in more than a generation,” bank president Larry Miller said.

Since 2018, the Fields development has created a domino-effect, bringing in a plethora of developers to Frisco who have poured billions into various projects.

Hall Group is at the helm of a $7 billion complex called Hall Park, featuring a $500-million hotel, a 19-story luxury apartment building and a 16-story office building. Across the street is the Star in Frisco, a $1.5 billion mixed-use project home to the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters.
