Wave those Terrible Towels.
Legendary football star Terry Bradshaw has sold his 800-acre ranch located just across the Texas border near Thackerville, Oklahoma, the Dallas Morning News reported.
The sale comes after more than five years on the market and a previous deal that fell through. The property, situated about an hour from Dallas-Fort Worth in Love County, Oklahoma, was last listed for $22.5 million by Dallas-based Icon Global Group.
Previously used by the Bradshaws for both their residence and quarter horse breeding operation, the ranch has found new owners in Red River Equine, a joint venture between Billy and Suzonne Franks of Texas and Chad and Tiffany Beus, recent transplants from Utah.
The Franks, known for operating the Three Nails Ranch near Fort Worth, expressed enthusiasm for the central geographical location of the ranch, convenient for their clientele and business expansion.
The ranch boasts an 8,600-square-foot main house with six bedrooms, a sizable swimming pool, stocked fishing lakes and ponds, and comprehensive horse care and livestock infrastructure.
While under Bradshaw’s ownership, the property served as a filming location for “The Bradshaw Bunch,” a cable television show that aired for two seasons starting in 2020.
Bradshaw, who had moved his quarter horse breeding operation to a smaller Texas ranch near Saint Jo, commented on the emotional connection to the ranch: “I loved this ranch so much, having built it from the ground up, so I was very tied to it.” The decision to sell was influenced by factors such as his busy schedule, changing family needs, and commitments.
Icon Global Group’s Bernard Uechtritz, involved in marketing the property, highlighted the significance of the sale and the collaboration of various parties in facilitating the transaction. Notably, Icon Global is still actively marketing the Turkey Track Ranch in the Texas Panhandle, totaling almost 80,000 acres.
This sale marks another chapter in the real estate ventures of Terry Bradshaw, adding to the list of significant ranchlands recently marketed by Icon Global Group, including the notable sale of the W.T. Waggoner Ranch in North Texas in 2016.
