The estate of Sam Hamra, a pioneering plastic surgeon and patriarch of a prominent family, sold his historic Dallas home to a mystery buyer.

Pond Way LLC bought the house at 4700 Lakeside Drive in Highland Park last week, according to public records. Hamra’s sons, Andrew, an Austin entrepreneur, and Taylor, a TV writer credited as a producer for TNT’s 2012 reboot of “Dallas,” executed the purchase as attorneys-in-fact for Hamra’s estate and his widow, former Tiffany & Co. jewelry designer Sonia Hamra, the deed shows.

Allie Beth Allman, founder of Dallas luxury brokerage Allie Beth Allman & Associates, individually represented both sides in the sale. Allman has previously represented George and Laura Bush and several members of the Dallas Cowboys organization, including owner Jerry Jones, who reportedly lives down the street on Lakeside Drive.

Built in 1918, the 5,241-square-foot home occupies a 0.7-acre corner lot at the intersection of Lakeside Drive and Euclid Avenue, according to public records. The listing includes no interior photography, and Allman points out the large lot’s potential for redevelopment, calling it an “ideal canvas for a future custom estate.” It was asking $15 million when it sold, amounting to more than $2,800 per square foot. The final sale price is undisclosed.

The Hamra family listed the home on Dec. 1, Zillow shows.

Noted architecture firm Lang and Witchell designed the house, according to local agent Douglas Newby’s database of significant Dallas homes. Lang and Witchell designed several buildings around Texas that are now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, including Highland Park Town Hall, the iconic Magnolia Petroleum Company Building and the 1913 Kirby Building in Dallas.

Sam Hamra died last year at 88. Recognized as a significant contributor to the field, Hamra developed several new techniques in plastic surgery, and his research was widely cited, according to his obituary.
