Even as Houston home sales prices lag, homebuilders are plowing ahead with new developments around the metro, from Rosenberg to Tomball. And for the past month, the board room has been as active as the construction site.

The Signorelli Company, a Woodlands-based master-planned developer stretching the bounds of the Houston metropolitan area, announced two leadership changes this month. First America Homes, The Signorelli Company’s homebuilding division, hired David Assid as the Houston division president from Chesmar Homes, where he held a similar role. In addition, Signorelli promoted Jeff Dewese from senior vice president to president of its land division, granting him responsibility over land acquisition and development.

Prior to Chesmar, Assid was a Houston division president for Toll Brothers for 24 years. Dewese has worked at The Signorelli Company since 2017, when he joined as a development manager.

According to a press release, Dewese is overseeing the development of Signorelli’s largest project to date: Austin Point, a 4,700-acre master-planned community in Fort Bend County that will include 14,000 residential units.

Elsewhere in the Houston homebuilding business, Allpoints Services, a construction surveyor for high-volume homebuilders, recently announced that it had hired John Ballard as chief revenue officer. Ballard joins Allpoints from Quality Built, where he also served as CRO.

On the commercial side, Stream Realty Partners announced today that it has hired Brandon Levinson as vice president of the Houston leasing office. Levinson comes to Stream from Interra Capital Group, where he was a leasing manager.

Partners Real Estate hired Jon Carrasco from Avison Young as Partners’ senior vice president of research. Carrasco is based in Houston, but his work will encompass Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Dallas, according to a press release.

Avison Young hired Colliers International senior vice president Noel Hutcheson, who joins the firm as principal and market leader for its Dallas office, succeeding Greg Langston. Langston will remain at Avison Young Dallas as a principal, according to a press release.
