A Dallas mansion built for the founder of Cinemark just traded hands — and yes, it includes a home theater.

Lee Roy Mitchell, who founded the movie theater chain in 1977, and his wife Tandy sold their home at 9769 Audubon Place to the Kevin and Amanda Moore Living Trust on June 22, public records show. The final sale price is undisclosed, but the sellers asked $18 million at the time of sale, according to online listing portals.

The 14,300-square-foot home occupies about 3.4 acres in Preston Hollow, one of the wealthiest districts in Dallas. The six-bedroom, 12-bathroom home includes nine fireplaces, a wine cellar that can store 750 bottles, as well as a 20-seat media room decked in an Art Deco style, according to the listing. The final listing price amounts to about $1,255 per square foot.

The home hit the market in September 2025 for $22 million, ranking first statewide among the new residential listings for that month, according to the Houston Association of Realtors. The sellers cut the price to $18 million in January, Redfin shows.

Traditionalist architect Robbie Fusch designed the home, according to the listing. It was built in 1995, according to Dallas County records. Fusch is responsible for the state’s second-most expensive residential sale of 2025, a $25.5 million chateau-style mansion at 4000 Euclid Avenue, as well as the famous “White House of Dallas” at 10777 Strait Lane. Fusch also designed a portion of the Southern Methodist University campus.

Based on the home’s asking price and last year’s numbers, the sale may number among Dallas-Fort Worth’s top residential deals of 2026. The 10 most expensive Metroplex listings that traded hands last year started with the home at 10335 Lennox Lane in Dallas, which asked $12.3 million when it sold in July. A University Park home topped the list with a sale price of $30.5 million.

The top North Texas residential sales of 2026 so far include a University Park spec mansion that sold in April after asking $26 million and a Highland Park mansion that sold in May after asking $25 million.
