Naterra eyeing a $34M combination office and warehouse in Coppell

Naterra International, a cosmetics and beauty company, is looking to expand their operations in Coppell with a new $34 million combination headquarters and warehouse facility.

The facility is expected to span 442,010 square feet, with no additional information on how the space will be split between the office and the warehouse, according to the Dallas Business Journal

Dallas-based Pross Design Group will be heading up the construction. The future headquarters of the company will sit at 1525 Point West Boulevard in the suburb just northwest of Dallas, and the facility should be completed around December 2027. The price of the new facility equates to about $77 per square foot.

Naterra is a family-owned global manufacturer who makes Baby Magic, Tree Hut and Splash products. They have a three decade relationship with Walmart as a brand supplier for the multi-channel retail and wholesale company. Naterra’s current, but soon-to-be previous headquarters is also in Coppell, at 601 Fritz Drive.

Mary Kay Incorporated, Sally Beauty Supply and Jack Black, which is a male personal care brand, not the aging comedian, are all headquartered in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. Cetaphil is also a notable name that calls the region home. A 2015 article from D Magazine called the local beauty supply scene “thriving — if virtually undercover.”

The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex has seen dozens of headquarters shuffle around its suburbs and downtown areas. Uptown Dallas’ success in bringing in tenants is well documented, with the likes of Morgan Stanley and Prudential reportedly making moves into the area. The burgeoning financial district is helped by an expansion at Klyde Warren Park, which connects downtown and uptown.

Downtown Dallas has lost some key players, though. AT&T is moving out for a planned 54-acre campus at 5400 Legacy Drive in Plano. The NHL team the Dallas Stars are moving to Plano in the future as well, looking to build a $3 billion arena and entertainment district at The Shops at Willow Bend.
