The Town Board unanimously voted in favor of paying $890,000 for the 2.5-acre lot; the town is already buying an adjacent lot for $900,000, , 27east reported.

Town Supervisor Peter Van Scoyoc said the town hopes to build around 30 residential units on the combined properties. The board’s vote came despite some opposition from residents concerned about the project’s scope and impact. [27east]
