The property is being represented by Douglas Elliman’s Michaela Keszler and Madeline Hult Elghanayan. “It’s a true rarity for a special oceanfront opportunity like this one to become available and it did not remain long,” said Keszler. It had listed early in the winter.
Known for her women’s pantsuit designs, Marks ran a fashion label from the 1950s through the ’80s. She had been a soloist for the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo and afterward performed on Broadway. Marks died on July 5, 2020, at the age of 98.
Last year, the most expensive homes sold in the Hamptons were largely in the $30 million to $40 million range, with the priciest — 650 Meadow Lane — fetching $84.4 million.
The value of Hamptons real estate has surged during the pandemic. In the fourth quarter of 2020, the median home sale price was $1.4 million, up nearly 55 percent year-over-year, according to a report by Douglas Elliman.
