A few months ago, Scott Shleifer assumed control of Tiger Global Management’s entire $10 billion public equity business. To celebrate, the money manager decided to treat himself to a new Park Avenue apartment.
Schleifer picked up an $18 million duplex co-op unit at 895 Park Avenue on the Upper East Side.
The three-bedroom, 4,500-square-foot unit features a English-style paneled library and three planting terraces.
Warburg Realty’s Bonnie Chajet had the listing.
The apartment was previously owned by Arthur Newman, the founder of the Blackstone Group’s restructuring practice.
The building was constructed in 1930, contains 37 units and spans 217,000 square feet of space. [NYP] – Ariel Stulberg
